Our BJUMP Story
BJUMP (formerly Bolaji Junaid Mentorship Program) was formally established in 2021 to address the growing gap between academic learning and industry expectations in the Marketing and Communications space.
Founded by Bolaji Junaid, an alumnus of the Insight Management Traineeship Programme, BJUMP was built on a simple belief: Young people thrive best when learning is practical, mentorship is intentional, and growth is structured.
What started as a mentorship initiative has evolved into a multi-industry talent pipeline serving Corporate Africa, with reach beyond Nigeria.

Since inception, BJUMP has demonstrated measurable progress in building a strong talent pipeline for Africa’s Marketing, Entertainment, and Technology ecosystem. Through structured mentorship, skills-based learning, and industry exposure, MET Stars Academy has produced tangible outcomes across individuals, institutions, and the wider professional community.
Talent Development
To date, the Academy has successfully delivered THREE COHORTS of its flagship program, equipping young professionals with industry-relevant skills, professional confidence, and real-world work experience. These cohorts represent a growing pool of trained talents prepared for entry and mid-level roles within Corporate Africa.
In addition, BJUMP has built a vibrant learning community of over ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY active members, fostering continuous peer learning, collaboration, and professional growth beyond the classroom.

The experience has been quite exciting and interesting. Just throughout the interview processes alone, I have discovered versions of myself I didn't know were there before, have learnt quite several things, and I have had the opportunity to meet with like-minded young individuals who are serious about making an impact. So, I am glad to have registered and been a part of this whole process.

My experience so far has been an eye opening one. It has been a different level of exposure and learning from any other application and process that I have ever seen. The experience so far has been drilling but worth it. The tasks have given me a lot to learn and I look forward to the main program.
My experience has been eye opening, fun and intellectually stimulating as I’ve had to do deep thinking and answer questions on the go which is really beautiful. It is different from the normal scrutinization I’ve experienced or heard about. It has been very exhilarating. I really hope I get in!

My experience with BJUMP has been challenging but in a fun way. I love how the application process allows us to be openly creative, and I especially enjoyed working with a team during the third stage.
The selection process has been a good mix of professional and ease. The physical interview phase especially stood out for me because it was different from the typical interview style I’m used to. It felt more like a test of how we think on our feet, handle pressure, and show up in the moment, rather than just rehearsed answers. Overall, it’s been engaging, and challenging in a good way.
It has been a new, engaging and enlightening experience. I like how I've been challenged even before the programme's commencement.

Regardless of what's to come, this experience has been a valuable and growth-filled experience for me, and I'm truly grateful to have come this far.
It’s been a great and rewarding experience for me so far because every stage of the interview challenges me to think deeply than the last one. I have also had to compulsorily do things I have never done before, e.g creating a marketing campaign pitch. I have also appreciated the empathy and kindness from the BJuMP team regarding my personal issue that kept me from the physical interview and the last deadline, and it makes me want to always do my best.
My experience so far has been very engaging and insightful. I particularly appreciated the spontaneity of the exercises and how they mirror real-life creative and professional scenarios. The structure challenged adaptability, creativity, and clarity under pressure, which I found both refreshing and valuable.

Mentorship is the backbone of BJUMP MET Stars Academy’s talent development model. Our mentors play a critical role in shaping participants’ professional growth, career direction, and workplace readiness.
To date, BJUMP has engaged over SIXTY MENTORS drawn from diverse sectors including marketing, communications, technology, finance, media, and business leadership. These mentors bring real-world experience into the learning process, ensuring that training remains practical, relevant, and aligned with industry expectations.
Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Outcomes
Beyond employment outcomes, BJUMP has also contributed to enterprise creation. TWO COMPANIES Infinix X and Cipher Media, have been founded by program alumni, demonstrating the Academy’s role not only in talent preparation but also in fostering innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking.
Our Programs
A curriculum-driven, reality-TV styled talent development program for early-stage and transitioning professionals within the Marketing, Entertainment, and Technology ecosystem.
The program blends classroom learning with real business exposure, inspired by formats such as management traineeships and business reality shows. The final cohort all earn a job placement with strategic partners, while the MET Star of the year wins lot prizes worth millions of naira and an all expenses paid international trip.
